Acknowledging and depending on God is one of the easiest and hardest things to do.

Easy because you essentially let go and let God take care of things.

Hard because having control is magnetic and pretty much a reflex.

When you have something gripped tightly, maybe in a death-grip, it’s very difficult to loosen and regrip something else. Imagine hanging from a small branch over a deep ravine. Death is imminent, because you can’t hold on forever. A man (yes, he’s Jesus) is holding out his arm for you to grab hold of so he can pull you to safety. You’re pretty sure he can do it, but it takes so much effort to transfer yourself.

It’s unnatural to change dependence. I’d say… it’s spiritual.
