Stones

“Produce  fruit in keeping with repentance, And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.” Luke 3:8

“‘I tell you,’ he replied, ‘if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.'” Luke 19:40

“Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out.” Luke 14:34

That is to say – laziness leads to badness. In such a situation, you might as well be an inanimate object, like a stone, or a stale bagel. If I did not choose to do what it is my duty to do (note: choice coincided with duty), God might as well use a stone to do his will, or grant his inheritance to a stone.
